Model Selection

This tool aims to develop a generalized watershed-lake simulation framework to assist users in selecting appropriate modeling platforms. It includes a catalog of watershed and lake models, a data poral with standardized data templates, and a decision tree to guide model selection. The tool streamlines decision-making by categorizing models based on system requirements and computational needs, automating input file generation, and providing access to relevant datasets. By integrating these components, the module enhances watershed-lake modeling, supporting effective BMP assessment and improving decision-making for nutrient management and harmful algal bloom (HAB) control.
